My introduction to chiropractic care began at just nine years old when I was diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis. At the time, I had no idea what chiropractic was, and my journey led me through traditional medical interventions, including bracing and eventually Harrington Rod surgery.
It wasn't until after my surgery that I truly began to question whether there was a gentler, more holistic way to address spinal health. With encouragement from my then-boyfriend (now husband), I started exploring chiropractic on a deeper level—realizing that true healing starts with the nervous system, not just the spine.

While studying at National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL, I experienced firsthand the power of chiropractic care beyond pain relief. For as long as I could remember, I had struggled with severe seasonal allergies—so intense that I could barely focus on my studies during exam season. My eyes itched relentlessly, and my nose ran like a faucet. I thought this was just "normal" for me.
Then, something incredible happened. By my second year in chiropractic school, after receiving consistent adjustments, I suddenly realized my allergy symptoms had disappeared. My body had begun to heal from the inside out, and my nervous system was finally functioning the way it was meant to. That experience solidified my passion for helping others discover what's possible when their nervous system is fully connected and functioning correctly.
Even now, more than 25 years after my scoliosis surgery, I prioritize weekly adjustments to keep my spine and nervous system in balance. Chiropractic has also played a vital role in my journey as a mother—I gave birth to five beautiful children without medical intervention, four of them at home. And just as I do with all the little ones in my practice, I made sure each of my babies was checked for nervous system function immediately after birth.
When I'm not adjusting patients or sharing the benefits of chiropractic care, you'll find me soaking up time with my husband, Shahab, and our five amazing kids—Malik, Safiyah, Nayera, Zareena, and Alia. We love hiking together, reading, staying active, and enjoying time with friends.
